How to Calculate Number of Protein Grams that’s Right for YOU
Here’s an easy way to calculate how much protein that’s right for you to consume. There’s no absolute answer for anyone so this provides a guideline.
Take your weight in pounds and divide it by 2.2 to obtain your weight in kilograms. Now multiply that number by 0.8 (if you’re not very active), 1.3 (if you’re active or pregnant), or 1.8 (if you’re extremely active), depending on how much exercise you do.
For example, a female weighing 125 pounds:
125/2.2 = 56.81
if not very active then 56.81 X 0.8 = 45.4 grams
if active or pregnant 56.81 X 1.3 = 73.8 grams
if very active 56.81 X 1.8 = 102.2 grams.
That’s it, now it’s your turn…so are you consuming enough protein?
