The Benefits of a Daily Probiotic

Gut lining structure and function can be affected by various things such as lifestyle and microbial imbalance. Changing unhealthy habits, initiating probiotics and gut healthy strategies can often provide support. Tak­ing steps to ensure the diges­tive sys­tem is func­tion­ing prop­er­ly is an essen­tial part of main­tain­ing over­all health since ttwo thirds of the immune system is housed in the gut. Probiotics compete with nutrients to crowd out non-beneficial bacteria. Probiotics also interact with immune cells to support a healthy immune response at the gut level and throughout the body.

Both the gut and the skin are immune and neuroendocrine organs that communicate with each other in several ways. A key way to influence a homeostatic relationship between the gut and the skin is with probiotics.

Based on the scientific research probiotics and prebiotics have become foundational to overall health and optimal wellness. And that’s true for all ages. The health benefits of quality probiotics are vital on your  healthy living journey. Just a few reasons and research why we should all explore daily probiotic supplementation.  Research concluded that probiotics help with seizures.  I see the same pattern on functional medicine testing that the researchers determined that brain levels of GABA were increased relative to glutamate by the bacteria and thus a probiotic helped. Research shows chronic opioid use can lead to adrenal insufficiency through central suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. Once again, GI is compromised, and Yes, I see this pattern so probiotics may help with adrenal imbalances as well.
